Quiet Time in the Park is 10pm-8am

Site Setup

For safety:

• Fire pits must not be moved

• Draw bars should face the roadway

Please park vehicles back from the river to ensure river access for all.


Vehicles


Speed limit within the Park is 10kmph.

All vehicle passengers must wear a seat belt.

Vehicles are not to approach or cross the river.

Motorbikes, e-scooters, e-bikes and drones are not permitted.

Helmets are to be worn when riding bicycles.

No riding bicycles after dark.

Generators

Intermittent use of generators is permitted between 8am-8pm.

Behaviour

The following behaviours are not acceptable and may result in immediate eviction from the Park
• Bullying/threatening/disturbing/harassing of guests, staff or animals
• Damaging property or littering
• Excessive noise, noise during Quiet Time
• Excessive speed (10kmph speed limit)
• Dangerous use of property, the river or campfires

Management reserves the right to refuse entry or evict any person at anytime.

River

The river and surrounds are used at own risk.

Visitors

We do not allow day visits for picnics, BBQs, swimming,

sightseeing, etc.

Guests of the Park are permitted to have family and friends

visit (fee applicable).

All visitors must check-in at the office and must leave the

Park by 8pm.


Campfires

Campfires are permitted when conditions and authorities allow.
A bucket of water must be located next to the fire at all times.

Fires MUST be:

• In the park drums provided (fire pits must NOT be moved),

Extinguished when wind exceeds 10kmph or upon Management

request

Extinguished prior to going to bed and/or leaving your site

• Supervised by an Adult (18+) at all times

• Left with ashes in drum and leftover wood neatly stacked beside


Fires must NOT be:

• left unattended

• ignited without first checking the restrictions of the day

• Used to dispose of any rubbish

• Emptied of ashes – contact staff to do so


Firewood:

• Can be purchased at the office

• Can be brought into the park from home in small quantities (no

trailer loads)

• Cannot be delivered to the park by third parties

• Cannot contain nails or bolts

• Must not overhang the fire drum (max length 55cm)

• Only 30kg of firewood should be unloaded or stored near the fire


Pets


Pets are permitted on sites (cats and dogs only).

The maximum number of pets is 2 per site.

Pets are not allowed in cabins, BBQ areas, amenities or the office.

Pets must be kept on a leash AT ALL TIMES (except in the

designated off leash area).

You must attend to noisy pets immediately to ensure other guests

have quiet enjoyment of the park.

All droppings must be collected and disposed of immediately in the

park rubbish skips.

Pets must not be left unattended at any time – you must take

your pets with you when you leave your site.

Pets must not interfere with, or menace: guests, staff, farm

livestock, native fauna or other pets.


Management reserves the right to reject any pet or ask them to be removed from the park immediately without explanation.

Deposits


Low/Mid Season

Deposit: first night tariff.

Balance due date: 7 days prior to arrival


High Season

High season includes Xmas/January, Labour Day, Easter, ANZAC Day, King’s Birthday, AFL Grand Final, Melbourne Cup

Deposits: 2x nights tariff.

Balance Due Date: 30 days prior to arrival (or 1 December for Xmas/January)


Reservations whose balance isn’t paid by the Balance Due Date will be cancelled.



Cancellations


Prior to Balance Due Date: refund of amount paid less first night tariff.

After Balance Due Date: no refund

No refunds/credits for early departure or unfavourable weather conditions.



Changes/Amendments


All changes and amendments must be made prior to the Balance Due Date.

Due to capacity limitations, guests additional to those included on the reservation may be refused entry.



Sites

Maximum number of persons per site: 6

Maximum number of adults per site: 4

Maximum number of vehicles per site: 2

There are no allocated or reserved sites.

Powered sites are grouped together and can only be used by guests with a powered site reservation.

Draw bars must be facing the road and vehicles parked away from the river front.



Length of Stay


A minimum length of stay may apply to some accommodation types and dates.

The maximum length of stay is 60 days.

Each site can have up to 6 people with no more than 4 adults per site.

If you wish to book for more people than above you will need to book multiple sites.

Less vehicles means more space to enjoy!

The maximum number of vehicles is 2 per site.

Management reserves the right to allow additional vehicles if requested prior to arrival and subject to an additional fee.

For long weekends and peak periods – guests who stayed with us for the corresponding period in the previous year will be given first opportunity to rebook for the following year. If vacancies for these periods arise, they will become immediately available for booking online.

We have a dedicated drinking water tap at the rear of the amenities block.

All other taps throughout the park are filtered river water – we recommend boiling this water prior to consuming.

We have toilets, showers, drinking water, BBQ area (coin operated), washing machine (coin operated), fire pits (must remain in the position they are placed), kiosk (ice, firewood, drinks, snacks)

There is no mobile phone connectivity nor Wifi in the park.

Unreliable mobile phone connectivity is available at the park entrance.

Heyfield is 20km away and offers IGA Supermarket, fuel, cafes, takeaway food, bakery, pub, hardware, bank, ATMs, post office and outdoors store.

Animals found in and around the park may include:

  • Wombats
  • Kookaburras
  • Wedgetail eagles
  • Turtles
  • Echidnas
  • Kangaroos
  • Wallabies

There are also sheep that roam the park.

For your safety and that of the wildlife – we ask that you please do not disturb or feed any of the animals, and do not leave food out at night.

The river is great for swimming, kayaking/canoeing, floating, fishing.

All activities are at your own risk and we do not provide any equipment, however you are welcome to bring your own.

E-scooters, E-bikes, motorbikes and drones are not permitted.

Most people come to Paradise Valley to relax, unwind, and enjoy the river and fresh mountain air.

There are, however, many things to see and do in the area including:
